HAY: An important part of your horse's diet
BY R.G. GODBEE of University of Nevada-Reno
and J.T. POTTER of North Carolina Cooperative Extension

In any feeding program, roughage should comprise the majority of a horse’s diet. Most nutritionists and veterinarians suggest roughage make-up over 50 percent of the daily intake. To do so we have had three different groups of summer camp kids come to Regional Director Darlene Kindle's barn. We would rather educate the kids than just let them go through life trying to understand these magnificent creatures and what the USERL is trying to do for them.(MORE)
